Let’s start with what I didn’t do this weekend:
- I didn’t make it to the gym.
- I didn’t make significant progress on my National Board renewal, though I did finally start thinking about it.
- I didn’t do laundry.
On the other hand, this is what I did accomplish:
- I mowed the lawn.
- I cleaned the den, including putting away Christmas gifts that had made it that far on December 25th and hadn’t moved since.
- I cleaned the living room, including folding and stowing all of the clothes on my post laundry buffer area, the dining room table.
- I cleaned and reorganized the kitchen, giving myself more space by tossing or consigning to storage a half dozen electrical appliances I never use (sandwich press, quesadilla maker, etc.)
- I refilled the meat box.
- I made another batch of flax muffins, which have proved to be a tasty and low carb way to satisfy both my my bready and sweety cravings.
- I made some Irish Car Bomb Jello shots, which are also quite satisfying, though perhaps a bit less healthful.
All in all, a productive weekend. But of course, every silver lining has a cloud, so now I don’t want to actually use any of the downstairs in my house, since anything I do will undo some of my hard work. Thanks, Second Law of Thermodynamics. Really, thanks.
