Shoeless Trivia: Episode 2 (Hockey)

There’s nothing in the world I’m more indifferent to than hockey, except maybe vegan hockey. But I had to learn enough about it to write five decent trivia questions about it. And here they are.

  1. Over the course of a long career Wayne Gretzky played for four different NHL teams. Sadly, one of those teams only got to enjoy the talents of The Great One for a single season. Which team?
  2. What is the fourth item in the following set: Atlantic, Pacific, Central, _______?
  3. Which new-in-2017 expansion team currently (as of December 28, 2017) leads the standings in its division?
  4. MVP was the working title of the 1997 film Air Bud, about a basketball playing golden retriever. In that film the P was to stand for “pooch”. The same producers recycled the abandoned title for a 2000 film about a different animal that played hockey. What does the P stand for in the later film (as well as its two sequels)?
  5. Despite being much too young to play in the NHL, Brecken Archibald was given what hockey related honor on August 30, 2017?
